The set contains a lighted Brumberger stereo-viewer. First looking that's looks like a Brumberger stereo-viewer but it is not made of marbleized hard plastic as usually seen on such viewers. It is made of kind of modern plastic and seems to be like a late edition...

it has the Brumberger logo molded on light-on button.  Also the screw is cross type which is not the case on earlier models. The name BRUMBERGER does not appear in the rectangle place behind the round button. Finally it really looks like the STAR-D model of 1970 that was the Brumberger's aftermath... but with Brumberger logo on the button...

This uncommon stereoviewer comes in a red cardboard box with the following title : 3 Dimensional Tour of Andy Warhol's New York by Ronnie Cutrone edited by Luciano Anselmino. The box is alas not in very good condition...

There are 30 stereoviews of Andy Warhol's New Yorks' life showing friends, artists, Factory... the tour starts at the second Factory at 33 Union Square West 1968-1974 and winds up at the new Factory at 860 Broadway. Kodak cardboard frames have embossed manufacturing date : AUG 75

About the author Ronnie Cutrone : (July 10, 1948 – July 20, 2013) was an American Neo-pop painter painter and nightclub impresario. He began his career as Pop ArtistAndy Warhol's assistant before becoming known for his own paintings of cartoon characters. He was a performer with Warhol's Exploding Plastic Inevitable that also featured The Velvet Undergound. He was Warhol's studio assistant at the Factory from 1972 until 1982 (source wikipedia)


About the editor Luciano Anselmino (1943-1979) : He was an obscure figure, even in his home country of Italy, despite having considerableimpact on the artworld of the 60s and 70s in Milan and Turin, and despite his lengthly association with eminent artist, Man Ray. He is mostly know for his role in Warhol's Ladies and Gentlemen qeries, having commissioned it in the wake of the death of Supersatr Candy Darling.
